PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printed matter production device capable of improving efficiency of production work or conversion work of printed matter.

SOLUTION: A designation acceptance means accepts instruction of selection of material data from a user, and a material data reading means reads the material data from a material data storage means on the basis of instruction from the user. A plate data generation means generates plate data of the printed matter by use of the material data read by the material data reading means.
