<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently correct the level loss of the respective frequency signals due to the cable in a communication system for communicating with a plurality of frequency signals over a common cable 3 between a first and second apparatus 1, 2. <P>SOLUTION: Transmit side reference frequency signal level detecting means 41, 43 in a first apparatus, and receive side reference frequency signal level detecting means 71, 73 in a second apparatus detect the levels of the frequency signals each, are a reference among the frequency signals transmitted from the first apparatus to the second apparatus over a cable.
