PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device made bright and having a wide color reproducing range. SOLUTION: The image projecting display device is constituted of a light source 101, a color separating element 106 separating a beam from the light source 101 to 1st, 2nd and 3rd color beams and emitting them at angles different from each other, a picture display element 108 having a plurality of pixels constituted of 1st, 2nd and 3rd pixel aperture parts, and a plurality of condensing elements 107a (microlens array) provided to be one-to-one correspondence to a plurality of pixels between the color separating element 106 and the picture display element 108.
