PURPOSE: A side balance weight and an installation structure thereof for a washing machine are provided to mount the side balance weight stably and to absorb vibration without an additional structure by using plastic. CONSTITUTION: A structure for installing a side balance weight of a washing machine comprises at least a pair of bosses moving differently to each other from an imaginary center line of the outer periphery of a tub and the side balance weight put on the tub and composed of placing guides(53,54) disposed at the position corresponding to the boss and combining holes(51,52) penetrating the placing guide. A farthest portion of the bent side balance weight, apart from the imaginary center line of the tub, is thick. The placing guide is formed to easily check the position of the side balance weight before the balance weight is fixed through the combining hole. |
