PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dark field type laser flow velocity measuring system, capable of measuring flow of fine particles smaller than the wavelength of visible light, measuring a flow field as a two-dimensional vector map and simultaneously measuring a two-dimensional velocity of local one point. SOLUTION: A laser is emitted from an emitter 3. The emitted laser is split in two colors at a spectroscope 4, and each beam is formed into two orthogonal parallel laser beams. In a lens A5, the laser beams from the spectroscope 4 are condensed at focal distance A. With a lens B6 having a larger focal distance B than the focusing distance A of the lens A5, the Doppler signal from the focus of the lens A5 is received with a sensor A7. The signal from the sensor A7 is analyzed with a signal processor 8 and calculates the velocity. At the same time, the beam from the lens B6 is received with a sensor B9, and the image from the sensor B9 is processed with an image processor 10, to calculate a two-dimensional velocity vector.
