<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter for a liquid crystal display device, which has high display quality and can be produced at low cost, and to provide the liquid crystal display device. <P>SOLUTION: In the color filter for the liquid crystal display device, there are formed at least a first coloring layer, second coloring layer and base layer on a substrate. In a single pixel, there are arranged a first region where the first and second coloring layers are laminated in this order, and a second region where the base layer and second coloring layer are formed, in this order.
