PRODUCTION OF CALCIUM AGENT BY SINTERING FILTRATES PRODUCED DURING MANUFACTURE OF GELATIN FROM SKATE CARTILAGE

摘要

PURPOSE: A method of producing a calcium agent by sintering filtrates produced during the manufacture of gelatin from skate(Raja kenojei Muller ET Henle) cartilage is provided. The product is a natural product and useful as a functional food. CONSTITUTION: The calcium agent is prepared by sintering skate by-products at 900deg.C for about 45min. The skate by-products are filtrates which are produced during the manufacture of gelatin by soaking skate cartilage in sodium hydroxide and filtering.
