Elements of platinum group, silver, technetium, selenium, and tellurium are separated in the process. Ruthenium and rhodium are used as catalysts in hydrogen fuel production for fuel elements. In addition platinum group elements extracted by means of separation and extraction method are used as catalysts in fuel electrode of fuel elements. Palladium is used as catalyst to clean hydrogen fuel for fuel elements and also as hydrogen absorbing alloy in laminated Mg-Pd alloy.
