PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television of which horizontal width is constant regardless of brightness of an image. SOLUTION: A DC voltage based on the average brightness of an image detected with an average brightness voltage detecting circuit 70 is inputted in a horizontal pin-cushion distortion correcting circuit 33 of a horizontal deflection circuit 30, which is superposed on a horizontal pin-cushion distortion correcting voltage of parabolic wave. The amplitude of a horizontal drive current which is modulated when an average brightness voltage is superposed is made smaller if the brightness of image is high but larger if it is low. Thus, the fluctuation in image width which is caused by fluctuation in high voltage depending on brightness of an image can be prevented. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
