PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prism system which can stably hold a prism at a prescribed position within a finder case, the size of which does not grow and which has a simple configuration and can be produced at a low cost, and to provide an optical finder. SOLUTION: The system is mainly equipped with: a housing case 10; a prism 60 which is housed in the housing case 10 in the state of exposing a surface where the optical axis does not pass; and an elastic member 80 which is flatly developed on the exposed surface of the prism 60, is mounted to partly come into contact with part of the housing case 10 and to partly come into contact with part of the prism 60 and is fabricated to a wire form (including a round wire form, square wire form, flat wire form and their bundled forms) so as to press the prism 60 to a part of the housing case 10.
