<p>A parking device of a vehicle in which a clutch is disengaged when an engine is stopped and the rotation of the input shaft of a transmission cannot be stopped by the frictional force of the engine, comprising a parking gear fitted to the input shaft, a parking lock mechanism selectively engaged with the parking gear, a parking actuator operating the parking lock mechanism, a parking indication means indicating parking, a gear shift actuator operating the transmission to each transmission gear, and a control means. Based on signals from the parking indication means, the control means operates the gear shift actuator to gear in the transmission to a specified transmission gear, and then operates the parking actuator to engage the parking lock mechanism with the parking gear.</p> |
