<p>The invention relates to an implantable stimulator and to a stimulator system comprising an implantable stimulator (10) and an extracorporal unit (640). The implantable stimulator (10) includes a connector means having at least two terminals (510, 520, 530, 540); each terminal being connectable to an implantable electrode (160, 190, 210, 220) for applying pulses to a heart and/or for sensing signals, a switch means (100), and means (300, 310, 580) for controlling the switch means (100) such that each terminal is selectably couplable to a pulse generator (400) and/or to an input means (410). The control means (300, 310, 580) is devised to establish a position status for at least one of the terminals (510, 520, 530, 540) in response to a signal received at the input means in connection with the implantation of the stimulator. The control means (300, 310, 580) is also devised to select a terminal to be coupled to the pulse generator in response to the position status; and to cause the switch means (100) to couple the selected terminal to the pulse generator.</p> |
