PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of music pieces becoming retrieval objects, to speed up retrieval and to prevent the drop of an adapted rate at the time of retrieving the music pieces in a data base for retrieving music. SOLUTION: A music input means 1 inputs music and a music data conversion means 2 converts inputted music into a form where it is easily retrieved. A music piece division means 3 divides converted music into plural music pieces. A music piece significance judgment means 4 judges how significant the divided music pieces are. A music accumulation means 5 stores the music pieces in a data base in accordance with significance. At the time of retrieving music, a music retrieval means 7 retrieves resembled music from a part of or whole music in the data base by using the significance of the music pieces stored in the data base based on a part of or whole music inputted as retrieval keys. |
