PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform individual inspection or the like by separating a compressor from a motor for individual rotation driving. SOLUTION: A rotating shaft 14 of the motor 10 is supported on a front case 3 and a center case 4 with bearings 63, 67, and an insertion portion 15 of the rotating shaft 14 is protruded from a partition wall 8. A rotating shaft 27 of a rotor 25 of the compressor 20 includes an axial jointing hole 28 for accommodating the insertion porion 15. By engagement of a spline formed on the inner periphery of the insertion hole 28 with a spline formed on the outer periphery of the insertion portion 15, both the rotating shafts 14, 27 are jointed. On the front end of the insertion portion 15, a threaded hole 18 is formed to axially joint the rotor to a rotating element using bolts 72. With this constitution, before jointing the rotating shafts 14, 27, the compressor and the motor can be assembled in parallel to each other.
