PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an aperture rate, and brightness or resolution by increasing an area of a light-emitting part against a non-light-emitting part in an organic electroluminescent display element. SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescent display element includes first anodes formed on a substrate, translucent insulating bodies formed on the substrate to insulate each first anode aginst the other, second anodes formed on the insulating bodies so as not to contact with the first anodes, first organic layers formed at a position corresponding to the first anodes, second organic layers formed at a position corresponding to the second anodes, and cathodes formed on the first organic layers and the second organic layers so as to be out of contact with the second anodes for the purpose of injecting an electron into the first organic layers and the second organic layers.
