<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction engagement device for an automatic transmission capable of repeatedly realizing both of normal engagement operating condition and non-engagement operating condition. <P>SOLUTION: A piston 21 is fitted in a cylinder 22 freely to move in the axial direction, and a spring retainer 23 is arranged in an opening side of the cylinder 22 so that it can not move in the axial direction, and a wave spring 25 is interposed between the spring retainer 23 and the piston 21. A first guide surface is formed of opposite surfaces Q1 formed in the inner surface side of a cylindrical part 21b and a pushing piece 21c of the piston 21, and a second guide surface is formed of an opposite surface Q2 facing to the wave spring 25 and provided in the inner surface side of the cylinder 22 in an opposite side of the opposite surface Q1 provided in the piston 21 side with a view from the wave spring 25. The opposite surface Q1 and the opposite surface Q2 form a guide means for guiding the wave spring 25 for extension/shrinkage along the axial direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
