PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an enzyme other than GnT-V having activity for bio-synthesizingβ1-6 chain by adding GlcNAc from UDP-GlcNAc to 6-position ofα-mannose of GlcNAcβ1-2Manα1-6 arm having a core structure and to provide a nucleic acid encoding the enzyme.

SOLUTION: The present invention provides a new enzyme which is different in an amino acid sequence from GnT-V and has activity for bio-synthesizingβ1-6 chain by adding GlcNAc from UDP-GlcNAc to 6 position ofα-mannose of G1cNAcβ1-2Maα1-6 arm, and a nucleic acid encoding the enzyme.
