<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical switch apparatus which includes a configuration simplified by making the number of components to minimum and is low in the development cost. <P>SOLUTION: It has two or more ports, circulators 401-404 which outputs the optical signal inputted into a higher port to an adjacent lower port, and two or more reflectors 411-423 which make the transmission light reflected or pass through. The input port IN1-IN4 is coupled to the top port 1 of the circulator, respectively, and the output ports OUT1-OUT4 is connected to the lowest port 5 of the circulator, respectively. Each intermediate ports 2-4 of each circulator are connected with intermediate ports of a second circulator, and the reflector is interposed in the linking lines of these intermediate ports, and is characterized by controlling the reflection/passing of the reflector. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
