<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plunger pump having a mechanism surely suppressing leakage of fluid, in a plunger pump surely sucking/discharging fluid with high viscosity such as printing ink. <P>SOLUTION: The plunger pump comprises at least: an intake space having a suction port opening therein; a discharge space having a discharge port opening therein; a cylinder whose one end communicates with the suction space and other end communicates with the discharge space; a plunger inserted into and reciprocable into the cylinder; a piston disposed to one end of the plunger; a valve mechanism disposed to the piston, and opened when moving on a suction space side, and is closed when moving a discharge space side; and a drive means reciprocating the plunger into the cylinder; a seal member shielding the discharge space from an outside space in an axial direction of the plunger.
