VESSEL HAVING LATERAL BENDING ABSORPTION TYPE BOW

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vessel having an absorption-type bow capable of expecting a considerable effect even by a comparatively simple construction. SOLUTION: A low-strength part to reduce bending strength in the lateral direction of a valve is provided on an outer board at the root of the valve in a bulbous bow. The low-strength part is formed of low-yield point steel. The damaged depth of the belly of opposite vessel is reduced at the time of collision, and a leakage accident of a load is prevented by preventing the rupture of a hole. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
