<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase capacity of an oil pan while preventing the oil pan from being melted or deformed by the heat of the exhaust gas. <P>SOLUTION: A cylindrical wall 22 constituting a part of an exhaust passage is formed on an upper end of an exhaust pipe insertion hole 21 of the oil pan 6. A flame shield plate 25 appearing inside the exhaust passage is provided on an upper end of the cylindrical wall 22.
