PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift control device for a multi-stage automatic transmission for preventing joint shock by setting the joint capacity of a clutch to be an optimum value during shift. SOLUTION: The shift control device for the twin-clutch type multi-stage automatic transmission comprises an accelerator opening detecting means for detecting an accelerator opening and a shift control means formed so that a limiting value is set for the joint force of a first or second clutch when the detected accelerator opening is a preset value or smaller.
