PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a light weight throttle valve of a low height body with a small pilot valve regarding a throttle valve composed of a sheet valve. SOLUTION: In this throttle valve, the outside diameter of a spool 21 is enlarged in three steps from one end side 21c to the other end side 21c and the inside diameter of the other end side 21c and the outside diameter of one end side 21a are made equal. Also, the spool 21 contains its overall length into a sleeve 22. Pressure chambers are formed in three positions and the pressure chambers 31, 32 are demarcated annularly by the outer circumferential face of the spool 21 and the inner circumferential face of the sleeve 22 and the pressure chamber 31 is positioned at the outer circumferential face step between one end side 21a of the spool and the intermediate part 21b and the pressure chamber 32 is positioned at the outer circumferential step between the intermediate part 21b of the spool and the other end side 21c. The pressure chamber 33 is demarcated by the end face of the spool 21 and the bodies 23 to 25 and located in the end face of the other end side 21c of the spool, which makes it surrounded annularly on the outer circumference face of a sensor built-in bush 24.
