A working appliance powered by a battery and a battery mounting apparatus that can be used for the appliance are provided. The working appliance has a secondary cell mounting part comprising: a battery recipient unit which solidly accommodates a battery for mobile communications devices, the battery which is placed on one side of the working appliance and with a roughly rectangular plate shape, has a terminal unit for recharging and a terminal unit for supplying power; terminals which are installed protruding upward from one edge of the battery recipient unit and connected to an internal substrate or motor such that when one of batteries which have different specifications and different locations for a terminal unit for supplying power is placed on the battery mounting unit, one of the terminals in different locations on the edge of the battery mounting unit can contact with the terminal unit for supplying power of the battery; and a battery fixing unit which enables the battery to be solidly placed and fixed on the battery recipient unit. Since a spare battery for mobile communications devices can be used as a battery for a battery-operated toy such as a toy car or a working appliance such as an electronic workbook for children, the appliance can save expenses for purchasing batteries for working appliances and also contribute to keep natural resources and prevent environmental contamination. |
