PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire excellent in durability. SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire 10 has a reinforcing layer 24 between each main groove 22A-C and a belt layer 16. The reinforcing layer 24 is composed of a nonwoven fabric made of two or more kinds of fiber. A thickness D of a rubber layer 26 sandwiched between the reinforcing layer 24 and the belt layer 16 is made equal to or greater than a thickness d of the reinforcing layer 24. Since the nonwoven fabric is composed of two or more kinds of fiber, the nonwoven fabric can have multiple functions and even if the end of a cut reaches the reinforcing layer 24, this reinforcing layer can be prevented from splitting. Since the thickness of the rubber layer 26 is made equal to or greater than the thickness of the reinforcing layer 24, a buffer effect by this rubber layer 26 is sufficiently obtained and a cut (crack) due to an impact from a road surface is prevented from occurring in the pneumatic tire 10.
