PURPOSE: A projection system using a wire grid polarization beam splitter is provided to increase the contrast by using the wire grid polarization beam splitter and minimize a system by scrolling a color bar with one scrolling unit. CONSTITUTION: A projection system using a wire grid polarization beam splitter includes a light source(10) and a beam splitter(15) for splitting an incident light according to a color thereof. A scrolling unit includes at least one lens cell and converts a rotating motion of the lens cell to a linear motion of the lens cell in order to scroll the incident light. A light valve(40) processes the light passing through the beam splitter(15) and the scrolling unit according to an image signal in order to form a color image. A wide grid polarization beam splitter is arranged at a front of the light valve(40) so as to transmit and reflect the incident light according a polarization direction.
