PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary switch capable of preventing breakage of a light source for emitting light from an indicator showing the rotation angle of a rotation part, and of reducing the number of components. SOLUTION: This rotary switch is provided with: a cylindrical fixed part 3 fixed to a board P; the cylindrical rotation part 2 concentrically and rotatably mounted to the fixed part 3; and the indicator 19 formed in the rotation part 2 for indicating the rotation angle of the rotation part 2 by emitting light by using light from the light source 21. The rotary switch is characterized by forming, in a circumferential wall 17a of the rotation part 2, a light source housing hole 20 extending in the axial direction and used for housing the light source 21.
