<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide member capable of remarkably lowering the friction on a boundary lubrication nitrogen area as the frictional environment where solid matters are kept into contact with each other without having an oil film therebetween to slide under high face pressure, even when the oil is thinly applied. <P>SOLUTION: At least one surface of a pair of members relatively sliding, of this slide member is made out of ceramics, and the composite roughness on a contact part of the pair of sliding members is 1 μm or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
