PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To jack a longer distance with low jacking force in a jacking method of advancing while excavating underground. SOLUTION: A double pipe is advanced underground in the fittingly inserted state of a jacking pipe 11 in a guide pipe 10 to advance into a prescribed position, and a lubricant is injected and filled in a clearance between the guide pipe 10 and the jacking pipe 11 in the fittingly inserted state of the jacking pipe 11 in the guide pipe 10. Another jacking pipe 11 is then connected to the rear end of the jacking pipe 11 of the double pipe buried underground, and only the jacking pipe 11 is jacked while smoothly sliding by the lubricant inside the guide pipe 10 to advance into a target position.
