PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device without preferably lowering productivity that has been improved by carrying out compaction processing from a plurality of inputting means simultaneously even if it has a memory structure of a small capacity. SOLUTION: External and internal image data are simultaneously input-control (parallel operation). An identical memory is used for an external image data input inputted by a scanner or the like and an internal image data input inputted from an HDD or the like, and is made to perform different image editing processing for each of them. Memory sharing is performed so that the input and output of data between a primary storage and a secondary storage (the primary storage to the secondary storage: image save, the secondary storage to the primary storage: image recovery) is suppressed to the minimum in order to process a plurality of input image data and the productivity of the external inputting means (original reading productivity of the scanner) is minimized.
