FLAME-RETARDANT POLYCARBONATE RESIN COMPOSITION

A flame-retardant polycarbonate resin composition which is improved in flame retardance without substantial lowering in the mechanical strengths (such as impact resistance) inherent in polycarbonate resin. The invention provides a polycarbonate resin composition excellent in flame retardance and various physical properties which comprises (A) a polycarbonate resin, (B) an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal salt of an aromatic carboxylic acid, and (C) a fluororesin. It is preferred that the salt (B) be an alkali metal salt of an aromatic carboxylic acid having two to four carboxyl groups. Further, the invention provides a flame retardant for polycarbonate resin and molded polycarbonate resin articles.
