PORTABLE TERMINAL HAVING FUNCTION OF EDITING BELL SOUND, AND METHOD FOR EDITING BELL SOUND

PURPOSE: A portable terminal having a function of editing a bell sound, and a method for editing a bell sound are provided to generate user's own bell sound by using sound sources provided from a mobile terminal and bell sounds preliminarily stored. CONSTITUTION: A database(140) stores and manages a bell sound. A bell sound analyzing unit(130) divides the stored bell sound by elements based on a control command of a user to edit the stored bell sound. A display control unit(150) displays a list of the elements of the bell sound in a display form preliminarily set. A buffer(170) temporarily stores the elements of the bell sound. A sound output unit(160) outputs sounds by elements of the stored bell sound based on selection information of the user. A sound synthesizing unit(180) generates a new bell sound by synthesizing the elements of the bell sound stored on the buffer(170), and stores the new bell sound on the database(140).
