PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus having excellent maintenance property of a paper feeding means, a recording sheet separation means, a main tray part, and a manually inserting tray part. SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus has a process cartridge 1, the main tray part 4 for loading a recording sheet P1, the manually inserting tray part 5 for loading a recording sheet P2, and a feeding roller 6 for feeding the recording sheets P1, P2 to the process cartridge 1 from the main tray part 4 or the manually inserting tray part 5. In this image forming apparatus, the main tray part 4, the manually inserting tray part 5, and a bottom plate 19 constituting one face of an external face of the image forming apparatus main body are constituted as a bottom plate unit B.
