PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent freezing of aqueous solution including MCDI when the aqueous solution is exposed to the atmosphere below the freezing point. SOLUTION: The aqueous solution for disinfection and sterilization comprises methyl-β-cyclodextrin including iodine, and a dissolution auxiliary selected from a group consisting of a halogen acid, an alkali metal halide and an alkaline earth metal halide.
