<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glissando control device capable of generating sound like glissando performance played while pressing a plurality of keys. <P>SOLUTION: The glissando control device can detect a distance between a player's hand and a light source by a photo sensor and can also detect a moving distance per unit time. Moreover, when glissando processing is selected by a function button "Glissando", the glissando control device generates pitch information from the distance detected by the photo sensor and also decides the number of pieces of sound generation by the moving distance per unit time detected by the photo sensor, and generates sound so as to be glissando performance.
