PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for specifically improving the insecticidal/repelling effects of an insecticidal/repelling agent containing a tropolone derivative and a substance having a structure of methylenedioxybenzene nucleus and specifically expanding the spectrum of the insecticidal/repelling effect. SOLUTION: This insecticidal/repelling agent contains (A) the tropolone derivative and (B) the substance having a structure of methylenedioxybenzene nucleus at a B/A weight ratio of 0.1-10.
