The process involves activating a motor through a controller to cause a momentary opening movement of a rotating door until a position of maximum opening angle of thetam at a step E0 is obtained. The angle of opening is decreased linearly at step E1 and then it is maintained constant at step E2 during a predefined instant. The angle is further decreased at step E3 and is maintained constant at step E4 in another predefined instant. An Independent claim is also included for a closing installation or solar protection installation having the mechanism of closing a rotating door.
