PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging device 31 capable of reducing the number and the usage of a packaging material 32 by packaging an illumination appliance 11 for a single ended base-type lamp with one packaging material 32. SOLUTION: A periphery packaging part 41 to package the periphery of the illumination appliance 11 in a cylindrical shape and an end shock-absorbing part 42 to cover an end portion of the illumination appliance 11 are respectively formed. A holding part 64 to hold the illumination appliance 11 to the periphery packaging part 41 and a lamp holder protective part 69 to protect a lamp holder 23 are formed respectively from the periphery packaging part 41. The periphery packaging part 41, the end shock-absorbing part 42, the holding part 64, and the lamp holder protective part 69 are formed out of one packaging material 32. The illumination appliance 11 for a single ended base-type lamp is packaged with one packaging material 32 to reduce the number and the usage of the packaging materials 32.
