PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for displaying a charging state in a charging cradle are provided to identify easily a charging state of a rechargeable battery. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for displaying a charging state in a charging cradle includes a charging voltage detection unit, a battery current detection unit, a control unit, and a light emission unit. The charging voltage detection unit(70) detects a charging voltage of a charger applied to a rechargeable battery. The battery current detection unit(80) detects the current applied to the rechargeable battery. The control unit(60) outputs a corresponding control signal by analyzing signals of the charging voltage detection unit and the battery current detection unit. The light emission unit(50) generates green or red color beams according to a control signal of the control unit.
