PURPOSE: A door checker is provided to prevent the damage of a door by fixing a door checker temporarily if an obstacle is sensed within a working range of a door when opening a door. CONSTITUTION: The door checker for preventing the damage of a door contains a checker arm locking device(130) fixing the location of a checker arm(120) to a door checker, and a sensor sensing an obstacle in a working range of a door. The checker arm locking device(130) fixes the checker arm(120) not to be moved by adhering a lateral side(124) of a checker arm and comprises a working piece(135) operated vertically, an electromagnet(132) installed on both sides of the working piece(135), and an elastic member(138) pulling up the working piece(135) from the checker arm(120).
