Method for measuring the displacement values of jaw segments is equally suited to measurements of plaster cast models or the teeth of patients. The method uses a tracking system with an arrangement of three measurement points on a tooth sequence with simultaneous definitions of displacement directions and a calculation rule for translation of the point definitions into displacement values.
