<p>A color cathode ray tube, wherein, where a distance between a center part and the end part of a diagonal axis is LMD, a distance between the end part of a horizontal axis and the end part of the diagonal axis is LMS, a difference in height between the center part and the end part of the diagonal axis along a tube axial direction is ZMD, and a difference in height between the center part and the end part of the horizontal axis along the tube axial direction is ZMH in the generally rectangular effective area (7A) with a specified curvature of a mask body (7), the mask body (7) satisfies the requirements of (ZMD - ZMH)/LMS > 0.020 and 0.065 < ZMD/LMD < 0.095, whereby the mechanical strength of the mask body (7) can be increased to prevent the mask body (7) from being deformed by an external impact in a production process.</p> |
