<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct an optical network system which simplifies the system configuration, reduces the costs for the entire system and improves extensibility. <P>SOLUTION: Nodes 4A, 4B, 4C, 4D extract optical signals of mutually different wavelengths from a network optical fiber 3 and send optical signals of mutually different wavelengths to the network optical fiber 3. A controller 5 converts an optical signal received via the network optical fiber 3 into an optical signal of a wavelength assigned to a node of a transmission destination based upon address information of the transmission destination included therein and outputs the converted optical signal to the network optical fiber 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
