PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a conventional power converter that the energy loss is large since surplus voltage is outputted from a charge pump circuit. SOLUTION: A constant current control circuit 14 acquires an output voltage value to be outputted, and judges whether this output voltage value is not less than a specified set voltage value or not. Here, in case that it judges the output voltage value is not less than the specified set voltage value, it switches off an enable signal E and puts it on L level, thereby controlling the boosting action of a charge pump circuit 13b into nonoperation state. On the other hand, in case that it judges the output voltage value to be under a specified set voltage value, it switches on the enable signal E and puts it on H level, thereby controlling the boosting action of the charge pump circuit 13b into ON state, whereby it becomes possible to reduce power consumption.
