PURPOSE: An electronic coupon service system and its control method are provided to integrate point and use the integrated point over a mobile communication system by enabling a user to register a bonus point, accumulated whenever a card is used, as an electronic coupon. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a card payment terminal(1), a card payment server(2), an electronic coupon service server(3), a coupon check terminal(4) and a base station system(6). The card payment terminal(1) reads a card, checks a credit state and processes a point accumulation function. The card payment server(2) processes a card check and an accumulated point request signals from the card payment terminal(1), updates existing data, and transmits calculated point data to an external device. The electronic coupon service server(3) analyzes the transmitted point data, updates an electronic coupon management database, and processes an electronic coupon usage function. The coupon check terminal(4) accesses the electronic coupon service server(3), and performs an electronic coupon check and usage request. The base station system(6), connected to the electronic coupon service server(3), transmits electronic numbers, generated as the electronic coupon is used, to a mobile terminal(5) via an SMS(Short Message Service).
