CAULKING MATERIAL FOR SHIELD SEGMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the exudation of water inside a tunnel to the outside thereof in a segment joining part when constructing the tunnel such as a sewer culvert by a compact shield constructing method (without secondary covering work). SOLUTION: A caulking material for shield segment which is obtained by integrally forming a water-cut part 2 formed of a material (for example, non-foam EPDM) capable of securing water cutting performance in relation to water inside the tunnel with a joint forming part 3 formed of a material (for example, foam EPDM) capable of filling a clearance between end surfaces of the segments 11 formed inside the tunnel, is used in the joining part of the segments 11 to fill the clearance between the end surfaces of the segments 11 and to prevent the exudation of water inside the tunnel to the outside thereof through the joining part of the segments 11.
