PURPOSE: An LCD device is provided to discharge static electricity incoming via a top case through a lightning conductor structure and a discharge portion, thereby preventing a drive IC from being damaged by the static electricity incoming via the top case. CONSTITUTION: An LCD module consists of an LCD panel and the first and second polarizers(58,60). The LCD panel has a color filter array substrate(44) and a TFT array substrate(46) united together at liquid crystal intervals. The first and second polarizers(58,60) are located in upper/lower parts of the LCD panel, respectively. A top case(42) covers edges/sides of the LCD module and sides of a main supporter(68). The top case(42) is coupled with a side of the main supporter(68) through an insert portion(70). A static electricity prevention unit has a lightning conductor structure(72) and a discharge portion formed on the LCD panel. The lightning conductor structure(72) is disposed inside the top case(42), and is located toward the discharge portion. The discharge portion discharges static electricity supplied from the lightning conductor structure(72). |
