<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for a card having a structure enabling miniaturization and thinning without impairing strength of a metal shell. <P>SOLUTION: In this connector for a card, a card receiving cavity is cooperatively formed by an insulated housing 2 and the metal shell 3; and a cam slider 51 having an inside locking projection part 514 engageable with a cut-out engagement part 42 of the card 4 by projecting toward the card receiving cavity, and an outside surface facing a side plate part 33 of the metal shell 3 is mounted, slidably between an insertion wait position of the card 4 and a connection position for engaging with terminals 1, on one side of the card receiving cavity. The plate part 33 of the metal shell 3 is formed into a spring structure 332 of a both-side supported structure by cutting and raising a part nearly corresponding to the insertion wait position of the cam slider 51, and can be tilted by pushing out the plate part 33 by the cam slider 51 when the projection part 514 is pushed by the insertion of the card 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
