A roofing member comprises a deck 1 of corrugated or ribbed sheet material which is strained to give a camber by means of one or more tensionable connecting members 7, the centre portions of which are spaced away from the deck by one or more spacing members 2. At the ends of the deck 1, the connecting members 7 are connected to end members 6 which may be channel shaped or which may be Z-shaped as in Fig. 4 (not shown). The spacing members may each be in the form of a beam comprising top and bottom channel-sectioned chords 4, 3, Fig. 2, connected by bracing bars 5. Aligned chords 4 of adjacent overlapping roofing members, indicated at 8 on Fig. 2, may be connected by a channel-shaped connecting piece, Figs. 5, 5a, 5b and 5c (not shown). Additional roofing materials may be applied over the deck 1. |
