PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cable that improves routing property without being made large-sized and prevent an optical fiber from protruding. SOLUTION: The optical fiber cable 10 is provided with a buffer layer 12 covering the outer side of the optical fiber 11 and further equipped outside it with a plurality of ribbon type tensile strength bodies 13 which are formed forming a gap 16 which is continuous along the length of the optical fiber 11 at a portion of the outer circumference surrounding the optical fiber 11 and a jacket 14 which covers its outer side nearly circularly.
